WeatherEdge FAQ

WeatherEdge FAQ

Clear answers about WeatherEdge, weather-market analytics, forecast snapshots, subscriptions, Telegram login, cookies, and payments

Q1

What is WeatherEdge?

WeatherEdge is independent weather-market analytics software for Polymarket weather markets. It combines weather forecasts, station observations, market prices, and model outputs so users can inspect market context before making their own decisions

Q2

How does WeatherEdge analyze weather markets?

WeatherEdge compares forecast providers, observed station data, time remaining in the market, and market-implied probabilities. The goal is to show where the market price and weather evidence appear aligned or divergent

Q3

Does WeatherEdge make trading decisions?

WeatherEdge does not make autonomous trading decisions and does not place production trades. The product is analytics and research software, not a broker, exchange, custodian, or financial adviser

Q4

How accurate is the model?

Model accuracy depends on the market, location, forecast horizon, provider quality, and station data. WeatherEdge should be evaluated through accumulated forecast snapshots, actual observations, and backtests instead of a single live result

Q5

What data is stored over time?

WeatherEdge stores forward-only analytics snapshots, forecast inputs, market context, model outputs, and later actual observations. This creates a time-by-time record of how forecasts and analytics changed

Q6

How often are forecast snapshots collected?

Every 20 minutes, the production scheduler records a snapshot of available weather-market analytics. That cadence is frequent enough to study forecast changes without storing unnecessary second-by-second noise

Q7

What does Analytics mean in WeatherEdge?

Analytics means the WeatherEdge view of forecast evidence, station observations, confidence, price context, and historical model behavior. It is designed to support research and judgment, not to replace user decisions

Q8

What is included in the subscription?

The subscription unlocks paid WeatherEdge surfaces such as deeper Analytics access, research views, and backtest pages. The current price and duration are shown on the Pricing and Billing pages

Q9

How does Telegram login work?

WeatherEdge uses Telegram QR/passwordless login. Open the login page, tap Continue with Telegram or scan the QR code, and confirm the fresh login request in Telegram instead of reusing old bot messages

Q10

What cookies does WeatherEdge use?

WeatherEdge currently uses an essential first-party session cookie for account access. It does not use advertising, retargeting, or marketing analytics cookies

Q11

How is payment handled?

Paid access uses hosted crypto checkout through a third-party payment provider. WeatherEdge tracks invoice state and account access after the payment provider confirms the invoice

Q12

Can I use WeatherEdge for research and backtesting?

Yes. WeatherEdge is built around research, backtesting, and auditability. The more snapshots and actual observations accumulate, the better the historical picture becomes for reviewing model behavior
