1. Summary
WeatherEdge uses essential account cookies and optional first-party product analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica, Meta Pixel, affiliate tracking, advertising, retargeting, or cross-site marketing cookies.
2. Cookie table
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
wedge_session |
Essential, first-party, HttpOnly session cookie | Keeps a Telegram-authenticated user signed in and gates paid account access. | Until the session expires, logout, or browser cookie deletion. |
wedge_pa_consent |
Essential preference cookie | Stores whether analytics cookies were accepted or declined. | Up to 180 days or browser cookie deletion. |
wedge_pa_visitor |
Optional first-party product analytics cookie | Stores a random anonymous visitor ID after analytics consent. | Up to 180 days or browser cookie deletion. |
wedge_pa_session |
Optional first-party product analytics cookie | Stores a random short-lived session ID after analytics consent. | About 30 minutes of inactivity. |
3. Similar browser storage
The public Analytics workspace can use same-origin product analytics events after consent. The disabled trading surface may use browser storage for draft form recovery if that private surface is enabled in a controlled environment.
4. External resources
Some pages load fonts or frontend libraries from external CDNs. Those requests can expose standard network metadata such as IP address and user agent to the provider. They are not used by WeatherEdge for advertising profiles.
5. If this changes
Optional product analytics stays blocked until the user grants consent through a clear choice interface. If WeatherEdge adds advertising, personalization, or retargeting cookies later, those scripts should also be blocked until consent.
